The book is not as brilliant as the first one, famous for more useless cruelty, more fulfilled with protagonists ethics doubt and still pretty catching :)
The movie from one side is quite identical to the book from the other some main character thoughts are naturally skipped and added perfect as in the first part work with costumes and strong setting design.
I wouldn't advise to read and to watch both, movie or book only is enoghf ;) 7/10
